Mr Ashley is also linked with bids for Patisserie Valerie and HMV.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investegate.co.uk\/scs-group-plc--scs-\/rns\/response-to-recent-press-speculation\/201901291502474445O\/\" class=\"story-body__link-external\">ScS confirmed it was in discussions<\/a> about buying Sofa.com, one of the UK&#8217;s biggest online furniture retailers.
