They should have cost $16,000. <\/p>\n<p>At the time, the carrier acknowledged its &#8220;mistake&#8221; and again, said it would welcome the passengers onboard. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"story-body__unordered-list\">\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/business-46732952\" class=\"story-body__link\">Cathay Pacific to honour $16,000 fares sold for $675<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Airlines have a mixed history of honouring tickets sold in error. <\/p>\n<p>Singapore Airlines, for example, honoured tickets sold for less than half price in 2014.
