Let&#8217;s focus on the deal that we have negotiated with the EU, a deal which is good for the UK and good for their constituents,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs May is expected to tell world leaders her Brexit deal negotiated with the EU will be good for the global economy.<\/p>\n<p>She will join US President Donald Trump, China&#8217;s President Xi Jinping and Japan&#8217;s Shinzo Abe as well as European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker at the two-day summit of the G20 group of leading economies.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-politics-46384207\" class=\"story-body__link\"> she refused to rule out the possibility of the UK leaving without a deal<\/a> if MPs rejected her deal, while Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn told ITV: &#8220;The alternative isn&#8217;t no deal. Nobody&#8217;s going to allow no deal. How could we?&#8221; <\/p>\n<figure class=\"media-with-caption\">\n<div class=\"player-with-placeholder\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-placeholder player-with-placeholder__image narrative-video-placeholder\" src=\"https:\/\/ichef.bbci.co.uk\/images\/ic\/720x405\/p06t7nx5.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Media playback is unsupported on your device<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><figcaption class=\"media-with-caption__caption\"><span class=\"off-screen\">Media caption<\/span>So how does a G20 summit work?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the summit, Mrs May will <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/759021\/25_November_Political_Declaration_setting_out_the_framework_for_the_future_relationship_between_the_European_Union_and_the_United_Kingdom__.pdf\" class=\"story-body__link-external\">highlight her plans<\/a> to strike a free trade agreement with the EU.<\/p>\n<p>She is expected to tell world leaders: &#8220;International firms that have invested in UK production or use European bases to supply the UK market will benefit from these arrangements.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But she will add: &#8220;For the first time in more than four decades, the UK will have an independent trade policy. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will play a full and active role on trade on the global stage, working with friends new and old, at a time of unprecedented global inter-connectedness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The summit comes after President Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-politics-46352463\" class=\"story-body__link\">suggested that the negotiated deal could threaten any future US-UK trade deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs May is the first serving UK prime minister to visit the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, and the second to travel to the country, after Tony Blair in 2001.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"story-body__unordered-list\">\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-europe-46394989\" class=\"story-body__link\">Merkel plane diverted after technical hitch<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-46394992\" class=\"story-body__link\">World leaders gather for G20 summit<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Falkland Islands &#8211; still claimed by Argentina, 36 years after the 1982 war with Britain &#8211; is likely to be discussed at a meeting Mrs May has with the country&#8217;s president, Mauricio Macri, during the gathering, although the main focus of their talks will trade.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs May said: &#8220;I am clear that our position on the sovereignty of the Falklands has not changed.
